The office of Chaim Shachar Architects was established in 1984 in Jerusalem.

The office deals with a wide variety of projects, including public buildings, industrial, commercial, and private buildings.

 In addition, the office prepares numerous Master Plans, with a goal of creating an architectural design that is suited to the physical environment of the project.


The office specializes in traditional Jerusalem stone buildings, incorporating modern building elements. 


The company owner, Chaim Shachar, specializes in building proposals for clients applying before the Planning and building committees (the Israeli law of building and construction), prepares architectural opinions for court appeals to all Regional and Municipal Planning Committees with consistent success.

As of 2020, the office has prepared 500 projects of varying size and scope, throughout Israel.

Previous professional affiliations:

1983: Moshe Safdie  Architects, in Jerusalem.  I worked on the Hebrew Union College-Bet Shmuel Project.

1984: I became an Independent Architect, establishing my office, Chaim Shachar, Architects.


May 2003:  Establishment of the company:  Chaim Shachar Architects, Ltd.  

Chaim Shachar, lead Architect, listed as an official architect among the Architects and Engineers in Israel.


Member in good standing:  The Organization of Independent Architects and Engineers in Israel.


Chaim Shachar Architects, Ltd.  Is listed as an office which trains recently graduated Architects  from all Architecture training programs in Israel.
